One of Fort Lauderdale’s biggest events marches back into Fort Lauderdale Beach to celebrate themes of love, equality, and acceptance. Pride Fort Lauderdale takes place Sunday, February 11 from noon to 8 pm. Taking place right before Valentine’s Day, the very fitting theme for the 41st anniversary of the festival is “Love Pride.”

Full of fun, food, and entertainment, this high-energy event is not to be missed! This year’s attendance is expected to be record-breaking, with over 60,000 attendees projected to attend. They’ll be able to enjoy offerings from over 150 vendors, a food court, water slide, kid’s arts and crafts area, and a special area for seniors and the transgender community. And of course, outstanding performances from world-renowned performers Estelle and Charo, who will rock the crowd with their greatest hits! Of performing at Pride Fort Lauderdale this year, Charo has said, ““I am extremely, extremely excited. I’m very happy to go to Pride and make some great friends.”

Admission to the main event is FREE and proceeds will fund scholarships for LGBT+ youth and grants to local community organizers. Organizers have taken great strides to find effective parking and transportation solutions. According to Pride Fort Lauderdale President Miik Martorell, ““We have almost four times the amount of free shuttles, sponsored by Sprint. Last year, there were three. This year, there are 10.”

The number of parking lots has also increased. This year’s free parking lots are Hagen Park, 2020 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors; Galleria Mall, 2414 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; E. Clay Shaw parking lot, 2150 SE 17 St., Fort Lauderdale. Parking is also available in the lot at the event but is not free. The shuttles run from the free lots to Pride from 12 to 6 p.m. The last shuttle leaves Pride at 8:30 p.m. Adding to the fun will be local drag queens hanging out with festival attendees on the shuttles for the first three hours of service!

Grab your best group of friends and get ready to have a great time! Be safe and have a wonderful time at an event that celebrates love and benefits a great cause!
