One of my favorite things about the gorgeous city of Fort Lauderdale has to be the multitude of fantastic restaurants at every turn. Diverse and delicious, there are boundless dining opportunities to satisfy your taste buds, whether you are craving unbelievable fresh seafood at a gorgeous waterfront restaurant or a more casual atmosphere that offers modern twists on comfort-food classics. Starting September 1st, Fort Lauderdale Restaurant Month, also known as Crave GFL, will offer diners three-course meals for the price of $35 or $45 for lunch and dinner respectively (beverages, tax, and tip not included). So grab a friend, get your appetite ready, and check out these blank restaurants that I think are Fort Lauderdale standouts!

Terra Marre- 551 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.

Terra Mare is perfect for the diner with a penchant for all thing chic and elegant. Highlights include the smoked trout with tomato, cucumber, and horseradish cream, spiced duck breast with curried lentils, and shishito peppers with bonito and black truffle ponzu. Dessert features a passionfruit liquid gold tart served with lychee-perilla sorbet and torched meringue.

Steak 954- 401 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.

Truly some of the best waterfront dining in Fort Lauderdale, Steak 954 is a MUST for those who want gorgeous views and delicious food. Try the petite filet mignon with charred broccolini, roasted cipollini onions, and watercress chimichurri is the perfect example. Don’t be fooled by the name, Steak 954 also has quality seafood dishes, such as the salmon crudo served with smoked avocado puree. Desert includes vanilla buttermilk wanna cotta served with cherry compote and sunflower brittle.

El Vez Fort Lauderdale- 401 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.

Spice up your life with delectable Mexican fare from Stephen Starr’s El Vez. Enjoy dishes such as gazpacho with tequila, shrimp tacos marinated in salsa verde topped with charred pineapple slaw, and black bean enchiladas with poblano peppers before wrapping things up an El Vez sundae made with Mexican vanilla ice cream and chili chocolate brownie pieces.

ETARU Las Olas- 500 E Las Olas Blvd.

Etaru is focused around the super trendy robotayaki grill, but Crave GFL deals will offer more than that for curious diners. Experience dishes like black kampachi sashimi with yuzu truffle, sweet potato tempura, beef, ginger, and sesame dumplings and scallops with yuzu mayo. Take note that the tasting menu is available Sunday through Thursday for lunch and dinner and requires a minimum of two people.

3030 Ocean- 3030 Holiday Dr.

3030 Ocean is great for fish and non-fish lovers alike! The rotating menu includes fare such as Sunfresh Farm salad, Ahi tuna poke with macadamia nuts, seared yellowfin tuna with spicy green papaya slaw, grilled black grouper with a dash broth, and coriander roasted swordfish with sweet potato and bacon hash, peach-bourbon glazed smoked chicken leg or grilled skirt steak with roasted potato and charred corn succotash.

Have a great time at Crave GFL, maybe you’ll find your next favorite restaurant! Bon appétit!

As a leader in Fort Lauderdale real estate, it is my job to stay on top of market trends and take note of changes happening in the area. Over the years there has been one stand out transformation that is undeniable: luxury in Fort Lauderdale is booming at a never-before seen pace. Gone are the days when this city conjured up images of rowdy spring breakers; on the contrary, Fort Lauderdale is ushering in a new era of upscale real estate that rivals Miami. This new era must also accommodate the new type of tourists, not young kids looking to party but more mature, powerful individuals with discriminating taste.

Check out these recent luxurious hotel openings (some can also serve as residences) and discover the new Fort Lauderdale.

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach:

According to Chintan Dadhich, the General Manager of newly opened Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach, “"Over the past year, Fort Lauderdale has evolved, attracting travelers from around the world with enhanced cultural offerings, a vibrant culinary scene and a variety of accommodations. The city welcomed more than 13 million visitors in 2017, adding new flights from the Middle East, London and Cuba." The Conrad, which opened last year, can more accurately be described as apartments than the standard hotel rooms. Each unit boasts kitchens, private terraces or balconies, and bathrooms of Italian marble with soaker tubs and separate showers. The hotel even has the “Conrad Stay Inspired Program”, which helps guests engage in local activities.

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Fort Lauderdale

This 22-story oceanfront property is truly a delight for both visitors and residents alike. It boasts 90 Private Residences and 130 guest rooms. Amenities include oceanfront terrace on the third floor with dual pool experiences and luxury cabanas, a world-class Four Seasons spa, fitness centre, even a program for children called “Kids for All Season”. A signature all-day restaurant with interior and alfresco seating also resides on the oceanfront terrace with a pool bar, lounge and an ocean-view outdoor café. Especially noteworthy are the talented beach butlers!

The W Fort Lauderdale

The W Fort Lauderdale recently underwent a $55 million dollar renovation. It provides an elevated beachfront experience at the epicenter of the city. Enjoy panoramic ocean views poolside or enjoy other luxuries such as a 24/7 fitness center, Bliss Spa, or live it up at the lounge, which provides delicious cocktails and the best live DJ’s. One of my favorite features? Steak 954, an award-winning steakhouse created by James Beard award-winning restaurateur Stephen Starr.
