December 12 is the Annual Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. This years theme is Fairy Tales Afloat and the parade of festive vessels will run 12 miles on the Intracoastal Waterway from Downtown Fort Lauderdale to Pompano Beach. Called the "Greatest Show on H2O", the parade consists of private boats, show boats, and corporate yachts decorated with thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, and more. Millions are expected to turn out for this event and the Grand Marshall this year is celebrity Nick Cannon. Some highlights this year include the Grand Marshal Showboat, The Floridian Princess, Galleria Mall Reindeer Barge, and Baptist Health Santa Showboat. Preceding the event there are other events as well! November 22 is the Family Fun Day, which is a free event with activities, food, and beverages. The Grand Marshal experience is a celebration including the dignitaries and celebrities who are in attendance at Seminole Hard Rock and Casino on Friday December 11. In the event you do not have a place on the water to view the parade, there is the Grandstand Viewing are for $25 per person inside Birch State Park, and a VIP Viewing Party at the Riverside Hotel. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is coming up and it draws hundreds of thousands of people to Fort Lauderdale to view the incredible vessels from yachts to speed boats. It is the largest boat show in the world and for good reason. Fort Lauderdale is called the Venice of America for the fact of its’ intricate canals and islands, however it also is the yachting capital of the United States due to its’ proximity to the Caribbean and the Bahamas with deep water access in minutes. Events are all over Fort Lauderdale for the boat show from tents to marinas, and one of the best ways to get from venue to venue is by water taxi. One of the areas you will likely be passing is one of the most exclusive islands in Fort Lauderdale, Harborage.

Harborage Isle Homes are in Southeast Fort Lauderdale in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area and it is a gated and strictly guarded communities. There are only 18 homes total in this neighborhood and all are deep water and waterfront homes.
